What's in my hand-held luggage?

By the time you read this post I will be on an aeroplane flying out too Spain eeeek, that is, if technology works its wonders and puts this post live without me even clicking a button!
To be totally honest, this isn't my hand luggage that I'm taking to Spain, in fact its my hand luggage from when I went on French exchange back in May (Post on that - here)
The journey to Cholet, France consisted of a horrendously long coach journey, over night stay on a ferry, topped off by another 6 hours coach drive. This is what I had packed in my hand luggage...
*Cleansing wipes
*Tin of medication
* hand sanitiser
* ipod
* camera lense
* purse
* phone
* camera
* passport
* water bottle
* glasses, glasses case
* breakfast and chocolate bar
*tissues
*(makeup bag) can't see that in this picture.

Any of you lovely lot going on holiday anywhere nice?

Summer 2012: Whats NOT in my Hand Luggage!

Next week I’m out of here! I’m off to Alicante in Spain with the family! I cannot wait! Only problem is…I have only flown once before! It was a 1 hour plane flight to France when I was six, so naturally I can’t remember much about it at all! When I Googled (what would we all do without Google!?) things that you’re not allowed to take on board an aircraft, many things which you cannot take on board I was completely oblivious to and planning to pack in my suitcase! I decided to do a blog post on this topic, as I feel that at this time of the year many people do ‘’what’s in my suitcase/ hand luggage’’ type videos and blog posts and I wanted to do the reverse and do a what’s not in my suitcase! I’m going to be basing these restrictions on easyjets policies as that’s the company I am flying with. If you are flying with another company, there restrictions may be slightly different.

Carry-on/hand luggage:
You can take one piece of hand baggage into the cabin with you -no bigger than 56 x 45 x 25cm including wheels- which must fit comfortably into the baggage gauge. This is key, as if your bag weighs too much or is too big, you will be charged for it so it is vital you take great care in keeping it the correct weight! Hand bags, briefcases, laptops and laptop bags are all counted as one piece so, for example, if you have a hand bag and a laptop case, you might want to put one inside the other.
Liquids within hand luggage:
‘Liquids’ is a wider term than you might think at first! Liquid actually includes lip balm, lip stick, moisturiser, hand creams, deodorant and hairspray! You are only permitted to take liquid containers with maximum volume of 100ml. All‘’liquids’’ must fit into a transparent, re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag, measuring up to 20cmX20cm. This plastic bag will be asked to be removed and shown separately to airport security.
So there you go! I’m not an airport/flight expert so there may be other bits that I have left out but I hope I have covered the main, key points! Happy travelling this summer!
