Everyone was dressed 50's themed, and even had 50's music too! Lots of chatter and giggles, perfect! Then to top it off we were all given bags full of sweets from the 1950's! All in all a lovely afternoon.

OOTD: Are we really in Spring!?

First off sorry for not posting in a while! A lot of things have been going on in my personal life at the moment but things are finally calming down!
I love this coat. I feel so glamorous every time I wear it.
I love the buttons and the collar and the print and...You get the gist!
I picked it up in Primark back along, it was a steal at only £10!
I have been loving Primark a lot lately (as you will tell in my coming posts!) I really like how a lot of the things they sell may only be in fashion for a short space of time, but their prices are so good that I don’t mind! I can never go in a Primark and come out empty handed, FACT!
Are you a Primark fan?

Flying the Flag with Next!

The Olympics are just around the corner and I'm so excited! I love sport and really enjoy the whole atmosphere surrounding the Olympics! I quite simply love the Olympics, people just going for their dreams and not stopping till they get there! It’s so inspirational! I'm not going to see the Olympics but I still really want to get involved with the Olympics so I was thrilled when I got an email from Next asking if I wished to take part in the Next ''I’m supporting'' campaign. Next have designed two fabulous Paralympics GB and Official Team GB supporters' scarves. I Love these scarves because they allow us to celebrate the Olympics in style! Both of the scarves have been designed to capture the essence of the Olympics and to support all of the 900 British athletes.
I have the Official Paralympics GB scarf and I love it!
So the challenge was set, how would I style my scarf?
As the scarf isn't all that large (50cm x 50cm to be exact) but I still wanted to wear it as the focus point of the outfit, I decided to wear the scarf in my hair. I have always loved beehives, so went with that, surprisingly there easier than they look! Keeping with the red, white and blue theme I wore a bold red dress. However I didn't want to look like a union jack flag, so the tan belt just helped to balance it all out a bit.

The smaller Paralympics scarf (left) is £5 whilst the official Team GB scarf (right) is £10.
All of the profits made by the sales of these scarves gets donated to the British Olympic Association too! Both scarves are available to buy from Next nationwide in store or online!
Please all get involved in this campaign and help us to ''Wear it, Wave it, Win with it!''
If you want to take part in the Next ''I’m Supporting'' campaign you can here.

Eylure False Lash blending mascara.

Whilst having a wander through my local Superdrug store a couple of weeks ago I came across this bad boy. I was initially looking at the false eyelashes, but because this product is a 'false lash blending mascara' it was with the false eyelashes.
The first thing that struck me about this mascara was the price. Ninety nine pennies. How could I not buy it!? I don’t wear false eyelashes, but I wanted to see how well it would work as normal, everyday mascara.
The packaging isn’t anything wonderful, but in the same sense isn’t terribly awful. I don’t like the fancy plastic pouch it comes in, as I just think this is such a waste of packaging.
The brush itself is amazing. I love this style of brushes. The mascara did separate my lashes well and did in fact appear to lengthen and enhance them. For that I love this product, but this mascara can easily go clumpy on your lashes if you put on a few too many layers.
Last but not least, one thing that’s really striking about this product, it reeks. False lash glue does stink of fish, and this is a false lash mascara, so that’s probably why!
Now onto the confusing bit, when I had a look on the boots website, to see how the price differed between stores, I saw that in boots it is priced at £9.99. This seems ridiculous right!? Why would anyone pay for a product that you can get £9 cheaper in another shop? Well anyway, if you want to buy the Eylure False Lash blending mascara, head to Superdrug not boots!!
Overall I would probably re-purchase this mascara, yes it has a few flaws but for 99p (In Superdrug anyway!) who could grumble?

My makeup storage!

I love how I store my makeup. Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamt of a beautiful dressing table filled with girly goodies. In December when I got my room decorated me and my mum set out on a mission to find the 'WOW' factor dressing table! My mum managed to find this beauty on ebay and it was a case of love at first sight. I love all the drawers and how I can have a separate draw for every type of product, because I'm such a freak when it comes to checking my makeup is all in the correct place! I know lots of people tend to go for the see-through makeup drawers to store there makeup, but that doesn't really fit the feel of the rest of my room. Me room is decorated in a very Cath Kidston/shabby sheek style decor and I just feel my dressing table suits it better. I love to keep things like my brushes in cute little mugs and glasses that just make it all look more interesting.
How do you store your makeup?
